Catamount Whiskey is high-wheat bourbon that is bottled in limited single barrel batches. The high wheat provides a more earthy, grainier flavor profile that makes for a smooth easy to drink whiskey.

Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th President, was an avid outdoorsman and staunch conservationist. In the winter of 1901, outside the frontier town of Meeker, CO, Roosevelt was hunting cougars, also called "catamounts", or cats of the mountains. One morning, they headed out on the cold trail of a cougar. Hours passed before they discovered a dead deer from the night before. The hounds found the lion's trail and out they ran. His party soon caught up to the dogs. High up in the treetops was the lion, clawing and striking at the hounds. The lion caught sight of the humans and made a great leap from the tree to escape. The dogs laid chase and caught him. A great fight ensued. Roosevelt thought the dogs could take him, but the lion bit into one. For fear of losing the dog, he ran ahead, with knife in hand and stabbed the beast through to its heart. Roosevelt had always wished to kill a cougar in this manner, with only a knife and his dogs. In the Western spirit of adventure, we proudly present Catamount Whiskey. Please drink responsibly.
